John Fowler make Retina Tires & Retina Band are made from Implantable Medical Grade Silicon Rubber. It does not contain latex or any animal derived product. This a temporary implant used to close the retinal holes or to reattach the detached retina & relive vitreous traction.
The Retina Tire is available manly in three different sizes which are classified with there style no.
Retina Tire Style 279 & 281 are symmetrical while Retina Tire Style 280 is asymmetrical. Retina Band is available in Style 240. All these are non optical devices.

Retina Band is also made from Implantable Medical Grade Silicon Rubber.
This can be used in combination with Retina Tire or independently. The Retina Tire & Retina Bands made by John Fowler are intended for episcleral or intrascleral buckling in retinal reattachment surgery.
The Ethylene Oxide gas sterilized Tyvek pouch packed Retina Tire & Retina Bands are guaranteed for the sterility & safe use. The contents of the pouch are sterile unless the pouch in open or damaged.
